Lorinda H. M. Hoover
When I opened a User Notes file today, I got an error message that said "There is a problem with the Helvetica Font. Please use another font." I was able to click OK and still see my notes. I checked FontBook, and everything looked o.k: no duplicates, active fonts were in the right place, etc. I did try validating the Font, and saw two "first level" entries in the validation window, one for Helvetica.dfont and one for Helvetica. Test Validations of other fonts (HelveticaCY and Helvetica Neue) showed only one "first level" entry, that one ending with .dfont. [by "first level," I mean the level where there is a disclosure triangle) I'm not sure what could be wrong with the font. I'm also wondering if it's related to the problem I reported here. If so, the good news is that I did not get a blank warning box this time. I did change the problematic font that was behind the earlier problem to Helvetica. Is it possible that the problem isn't so much with a particular font as it is with a particular odd (to Accordance) character? I have some ideas about how I might explore that possibility, although I won't have a chance to put together a reproducible test case until Sunday afternon at the earliest. Lorinda H. M. Hoover
I ran the 8.3.2 installer again, and that seems to have fixed it.
