DavidKrishef
I have a strange behavior that just began today. When I open accordance, I get the error message, "The name 'My Highlights.hlt' cannot be used, since it is used by an existing file with a different type. Please use a different name or delete the existing file." When I click OK, accordance opens, but without the startup session screen. If I go into library/preferences and click directly on my startup session, accordance opens and functions normally. The only thing I have done in the past few days is uninstall the Butler application and install the Quicksilver application; and install the ZumaDrive cloud storage application. Ideas? Helen Brown
I would look at the Accordance Files in your user documents, and see if the My Highlights.hlt has the Accordance settings icon, and whether there are any other anomalies with the files in that folder. It's probably easiest to troubleshoot this by screensharing.
DavidKrishef
I decided to throw away both "My highlights" files - the one from the accordance folder in my documents folder, and the one in the accordance folder in my applications folder. One of them, I think the one in my apps folder, didn't have the Accordance icon. Anyway, I threw them both in the trash, and Accordance opened normally again. Since I have never used the highlighting feature, I figured that I wasn't losing anything.
