BDAG not displaying correctly

Recommended Posts

Hi, I just installed BDAG and I don't think its displaying correctly.

The greek word for each entry is either not displaying or looks scrambled.

See the screen shot for details.

I'm on an Intel iMac running Acc 8.4.3. and Snow Leopard.

I've run the updater to the latest version of BDAG and I've run the font fixer.

I've run the updater to the latest version of BDAG and I've run the font fixer.

After running the font fixer, I sometimes find I need to reboot before I see the proper fonts.

Thanks for the reply - but that didn't do the trick I'm afraid.

The Accordance Fonts.PDF explains how to look and and manage the conflicting fonts in FontBook, but first you need to make the diagnosis. If there is a font conflict:

  1. all the Greek (or another of our fonts) in Accordance will be scrambled, not just in BDAG.
  2. it will appear OK if you turn off font smoothing in Accordance Preferences: Appearance
  3. it will also be OK if you copy and paste (without Unicode or other conversion) into another program

If these are true, then you must use FontBook and keep only the Accordance Truetype fonts in Library: Fonts and not other fonts or other locations for these fonts.

You should contact us directly for tech support if you cannot resolve the issue yourself. Leopard and Snow Leopard cause many FontBook issues.

Alright - the problem is fixed. In FontBook, I noticed that Helena Bold, Italic and italic-bold were all disabled. Only 'Regular' was turned ON. For some reason the Font Fixer didn't sort this out.
