There is a specific way to cite dictionary articles, which might be appropriate in this case: Here are the examples for Turabian/Chicago Manual of Style:

 

Dictionary or encyclopedia entry

 

Well known reference works are usually cited only in the notes with the edition specified but the full publication information omitted. For an online reference book, give the URL and date of access.

 

5. Oxford English Dictionary, 3rd ed., s.v. "Blog."

 

6. Dictionary.com, s.v. "Electronic Commerce,"

http://dictionary.reference.com (accessed March 3, 2004).

 

Therefore, NIDNTT could be cited as something like: NIDNTT, s.v. "Your-article's-name."

 

I have seen another style which I prefer as it credits the author of the article [Note: the article's author, not the editor of the whole volume!]:

Authorlastname, Authorfirstname. S.V. "Name of Article." NIDNTT.
