Currently a long menu that extends past the bottom of the page has a downward pointing arrow
that allows selection of menu items below the visible list of items. I was thinking that since there
is more unused horizontal space during a pull down menu item selection it would be nicer to have
all the items visible by making the menu display as a multi-column pull down menu. The pictures
below show the current situation and the proposed new optional position in a very rough fashion.

Here is the proposed layout that would have the arrow webkit-fake-url://C72E5338-85A4-47CA-BBEE-7B3B191953CF/image.tiff added at the end if the list was too extensive.

I'm unable to view the images you've uploaded, but I wonder have you tried organizing modules into folders using the Library window? Each folder becomes a submenu, enabling you to avoid long module menus.
