elizmary
Hi! I feel like a minnow struggling against the raging gale of sorting out what's on and what's not on my Mac Accordance folder as I think I may have discs from different systems. I've had these programmes for well over a year but have found it so difficult to get going that I haven't started using the programme. Coming back to it (with time on my hands after an operation) I'm trying to sort things. I have the following discs: Accordance Primary 8 DVD Training DVD (which goes a bit too fast for me to take in) Library 7 premier Buble unlock release 3 (with Accordance 7.0.3) - 2 copies Zondervan Reference EBC,NIDNTT & NIDOTTE release 1 with Accordance 6.8 In my Accordance folder on this Intel Mac 10.4.11 I see the following: Accordance Preferences folder Accordance Read me form 2006 Accordance Application 8.2.3 AccUpdater Read Me.rtf Bird
Lorinda H. M. Hoover
Elizmary, I am sorry that you are finding Accordance so daunting. Now that you are able to give it some time, I think you will find it to be easy to use once you have a grasp of the basics. For maps, you need to have purchased the Accordance Atlas. It is not clear from what you have written whether or not you have done so. If not, there is an Atlas Sampler for $20 that gives you low-resolution map backgrounds and the data. It's price is credited toward the purchase of the full atlas. Accordance is currently at 8.4.7. You can download it from this page I believe that the AccUpdater widget is no longer supported, but the rest of your list looks fine. Without a list of the contents of the subfolders of the Modules folder, and a list of what packages/modules you purchased, I can't tell if you have all your purchased modules installed, but you can certainly start using Accordance with what you have (even without updating the application). If the Training DVD goes too fast for you, here are some other options for learning Accordance: -The Tutorial section of Accordance Help (With Accordance running, look under the Help menu for Accordance Help) -The Beginning in Mark module provides examples of how to use Accordance for Bible Study. With Accordance open, look at the resource palette on the right. FInd the blue book without any letters or symbols on it. Click and hold on it, then select Beginning in Mark from the list -Dr. J's Accordance podcasts, available through iTunes or YouTube. There is a list of the podcast by reccommended viewing order available here. From that page you can download the files directly. I hope that helps a little bit. Please don't hesitate to post more questions as you encounter them. Lorinda
