Brent Wilson
I am wanting to find a way to search the Greek LXX for allusions/quotes/similar wording from a Greek NT passage. For example, say that I have selected Matthew 5-7 in the GNT-T and that I want to look for similar inferences/wording in the Greek OT (LXX1). Is there a way that I can do that? It seems that the INFER command might only work if it is looking for inferences within the same text. Thanks for any suggestions that you can offer! Helen Brown
I would recommend that you watch the Podcast which demonstrates this command. Your source window can display any text as long as it is the same language as the window with the INFER command. So you simply need to use this command in the LXX1 window: [iNFER 6 GNT-T] and Accordance will do the work. You may want to try to limit the range in the LXX1 as that search may take a few minutes. Thanks for the fast reply. I got the command to work using it in an LXX1 tab. I was able to search the LXX1 using the INFER command based on the GNT-T of Ephesians 6:10-20. Thank you!
