csonni
Not sure how to get this set up properly. I have my startup preferences set for Last Session. I will have the NIV text open, close the window and later quit Accordance. When opening Accordance again, it will come up with a blank workspace window. The only time Accordance will startup with the NIV text window on startup is if I quit Accordance with the NIV text window open. And only then. Doesn't seem right, does it? Joel Brown
What 'Last Session' means is that whatever windows or items or modules are open when you Quit Accordance, thats what you'll see when you start up. Since you are closing your NIV window before quitting Accordance, your last session is nothing. Accordance doesn't like nothing sessions, so it gives you a workspace. It sounds like what you want is Default Session. Just setup your NIV how you like it, select Default Session and click the 'Set Default Session' button. Then, no matter how you quit Accordance or what you are doing, it will always start up with that setup.
csonni
Thanks for that. One thing I noticed on this last startup. After quitting with all the windows open, startup was missing the zone that contained my bible text. The text window was there but blank.
Joel Brown
Probably what happened is that when you quit, the search was 'dirty'. That means that the Search button was highlighted blue, and you had something different about your search definition. If you quit/save it when the window is dirty, it will reopen dirty and not try to run your potentially invalid search.
csonni
After closing my workspace, how might I bring it back without having to quit Accordance and starting back up (default session)?
Joel Brown
If it is a workspace that you'd like to save, you should Save it before closing. Or, even easier, save it as a favorite workspace using the Star button on the bottom right of the Resource Palette. Then, you always have easy access.
