Permissions Errors

Recommended Posts

When I went to install 9.0.5 (had to manually download it because of an Updater error I've since forgotten), I received a permissions error - that I did not have permission to write, or overwrite, the accordance file. The error told me to change the permissions for the folder (not specifying which folder) by using Get Info. So I checked every possible folder I could think of, and all of them were set correctly. The installer proceeded anyway (yay).

However, I received another permissions error when I opened Accordance regarding 'Biblio {somethingerother - I forgot}'. Accordance went ahead and opened, but did not restore my previous workspaces. I have since gotten two more permissions errors.

Not sure what to do about this, as I'm pretty sure the permissions are set correctly.

Thanks for the help.

I would run a permisssions repair in Disk Utility, and I would resent permissions on all items enclosed in /Library/Application Support/Accordance/. Also try a restart.

Did all three. Apparently, resetting the permissions for the enclosed items in the Accordance folder did the trick.

Thanks.

Hello Helen,

While I was attempting to troubleshoot the Easy Install failure in 9.0.5 (thought I might have a permissions issue), I tried resetting permissions within the Accordance Preferences Folder (Library/Application Support/Accordance). Now I see that I wanted to make certain I returned those to the correct settings. What should the settings be for all the items enclosed with the Accordance folder?

Thanks,

Ron
