Enoch
As I have Accordance set up, I have eye-resting Green letters on black background (no white eyeball glare). Thanks to Accordance for allowing choice here. However, I am unable to change the instant details box to the same settings, so I have to put up with a white glare box on the screen. The question may have been asked: Who would like to be able to change the Detail Box colors to green on black? Then perhaps not many would care about having that ability, possibly, because not many are using green on black in the main pane. (For some reason, persons go on with eye-straining white background looming on the screen, with the multiplicity of colors included in white actually in most cases unfocused on the retina -- which is why they used to have yellow chalk on green boards in American schools: these colors are central & focus basically together on the retina.) At any rate, if Accordance does not care to make the Details box color & background selectable, then I would request that the Details box have the same colors chosen for the main pain. -- whoops, pane. Best would to make that box part of the preferences as to colors.

Jason
I like the idea, too. I also use a dark background because I do a fair amount of my work outside and need the high contrast. It is a problem when it's hard to see the instant details info.

billwing
I tried green for the font color, but it was a little too dark for me. So I tried turquoise and that is much more readable.

I think you can adjust the shade, as well as light vs. dark for the font color. I have chosen what some programs call lime in the past. My theory on green is that green (& yellow) are the colors in the middle of the spectrum, which focus more perfectly on the retina than do the others.
