Any news of multiple columns? Thanks, Chris

+1

This would definitely be a good use of screen space, and at the same time facilitates the skimming of a bigger amount of text.

Is this going to happen in the future release of Accordance?

This would be a dramatic change in our User Interface and not one easily implemented. Each resource that is opened in parallel with a text opens in its own column and is designed to scroll with resources in other parallel columns. Multiple columns for a single resource breaks that model and presents a problem: to which column should everything else sync?

An easier way to handle a resource that has consistently more content that the text itself is to increase the width of its column. Alternately, Cmd-click (Mac) or Ctrl-click (PC) a resource in the Info Pane and it will open in a tied zone (It will also scroll with the Search Text zone). A third method is to untie scrolling for the pane with the bulkier resource; that will allow you to scroll that pane independently of the Search text.

I agree it doesn't make much sense in normal mode, however in reading mode (control-r) it might make some sense for those who really want such a feature.

Logos handles this well. It has a button you can click to go into 1 column (page flipping) or 2 column (page flipping) mode.

It simply hides the option when linked to another scrolling text.

You could just have it greyed out.

This is one of my favourite features of Logos.

I'd still love to have the ability to view text in multiple columns.
