Robert N
I attempted a search on the Hebrew word in Genesis 1:1 that follows Elohim... the word consisting of the letters Aleph Tav t¶Ea . I received 11,940 hits and some of the words it marked were t¶Ea , t¶Ea◊w , rwäøaDh_tRa , ~AoyIq∂rDh_tRa ... etc. I do not know Hebrew. I can't figure out how to limit the results to just t¶Ea so I am hoping someone can help me do this. I want to thank you up front for taking the time to read my post. Lorinda H. M. Hoover
Are you wanting to search for all occurrences of the word tEa, or are you wanting to look for the particular spelling of the word found in Genesis 1:1? I click in the word in question in Genesis 1:1 (in the BHS-W4), and then amplify to the BHS-W4 on the Resource pallette, I get 10, 970 hits, all of them the same word. The vowel pointing and the cantilation marks do vary across the hits, following the rules of Biblical Hebrew. If I copy and paste the word into the search box, I get the 11,940 hits you mention. If you click on the details button (it looks like a graph) and choose the Analysis tab, you will see a break down of the various words. Does that help a little bit? Feel free to ask more questions if I haven't been clear enough. Lorinda
