New to the Forum,

After phone conversation with Tech Support Keith, he asked me to email the suggestion I was recommending for Accordance. Which Helen responded several times to my messages and later recommended me to post this suggestion on the Forum.

Hey Keith,

The suggestion per our conversation we had was to possibly allow users to "double click on the top blue shaded area to expand and reduce the number of zones." Oftentimes I attempt to reduce the multiple zones to one and inadvertently close out of my text, tools, etc... I'm presently working on, with a mindset that the plus(+), minus (-) symbols are in the corner and the X (x) symbol is to the right of them. I believe the double click for the number of zones, will enable the users to be even more efficient in their study methods using the already super efficient Accordance Bible Software.

Thank you again,

Casey

Thank you for sending the suggestion. I will pass it on, but I think it would be hard to know what the user intended to do.

However, some tabs cannot be shown in the same zone, such as the Details tabs. I think this will be hard to implement.

Thanks, i am passing these on, your first idea was received sympathetically. It's best to post these on the Forums so others can comment.

The suggestion I made is based on how presently we can in the multiple zones mode click in the shaded gray texts, tools, etc... areas on top of the zones to go from one zone to the other zone within the multiple zones in the workspace window. What I am recommending is, just as you can click in the shaded gray area to go from one zone to another zone while in the multiple zones mode in the workspace window, is it possible to add maybe a double click function in the top shaded gray/light blue area (texts, tools, etc...) to go from multiple zones mode to one zone mode and back to multiple zones mode as an alternative of using the exit (x), plus (+), minus (-), in the top left hand corner that is presently used to go from multiple zones mode to one zone mode. I believe by the capability of double click anywhere in the top shaded gray/light blue area will allow the user to seamlessly navigate within the workspace from zone to zones.

Secondly, as I'm writing to you, another thought came to mind. What about the possibility of a function for when you are in the one zone mode to be able to maybe "triple click" anywhere in the light blue area on top of the zone to go from one zone mode to the other one zone mode within the multiple zones, but without going through the multiple zones mode. That way we won't have to always go to click the minus (-) in the one zone mode, to get into the multiple zones mode, then click the plus (+) in the multiple zones mode to get to the one zone mode again, in order to get to your previous desired zone, which can be a little tedious over time.

Thirdly, the possibility of switching the positions of the exit (x) and the plus (+) on the top of the zones to prevent the ongoing inadvertent closure of the zone I am working on. In attempting to go from multiple zones to the single zone mode I accidentally close out of the a single zone I'm working on and I'm unable to retrieve it. The plus (+) on the left of the exit (x) I believe will make it so much easier to go from multiple zones mode to one zone mode and not have to search so diligently for the plus (+) on the right side. I'd rather inadvertently go into one zone mode than to exit out of the zone and be unable to get it back.

Thank you Helen for your listening.
