I can use the mouse to click on little "scroll" icon labelled "Add:", but it would be really great if I could press, for example, Ctrl+A, and then type the "short code" (e.g. BHS or ESVS) to add a parallel text. What I would recommend, if you find yourself always adding the same panes, is perhaps set them up as a favorite or default workspace so they are already there and ready to use.
