Preferences -> Tool Display crash

Hi there,

Accordance crashes right away when I go to preferences and click on the Tool Display entry. It does look like it pops up some kind of alert window, but it disappears too fast to be meaningful. I see the following in my logs:

8/25/12 8:13:27.768 PM acord: kCGErrorIllegalArgument: CGSOrderWindowList: NULL list pointer or empty list

8/25/12 8:13:27.768 PM acord: kCGErrorFailure: Set a breakpoint @ CGErrorBreakpoint() to catch errors as they are logged.

You can probably reverse engineer it from here :)

Thanks!

Thanks for the report. The programmers will take a look. Meanwhile, you've probably got a corrupt Tools Preferences file.

Try deleting the Tools preference by:

Quitting Accordance

Navigate to ~/Library/Preferences/Accordance Preferences/Tools

Delete Tools file in the above directory

Accordance will rebuild the file. See if that perhaps fixes your crash.

  • 3 weeks later...

I've had the same problem. Crashed consistently a few weeks ago, so I deleted the preferences file and rebooted. Worked fine for a while until today, when it happened again. I re-deleted the tools preference file, and I'll be avoiding that part of the preferences window.
