First Hebrew Primer (Sound Files Not Working)

I recently purchased the 'First Hebrew Primer' and was making my way through the first couple of pages enjoying the great sound files that are included in the primer. However, when I got onto page 4 the sound files stopped working... and the same goes for every page from there on. So, I'm wondering if I'm missing something but otherwise the sound files appear to be 'broken'.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

My module works on page 4 and in some spot checks later, but the sound files do not work on pp. 340-342. The subsequent link on p. 344 does work. Odd.

 

Version 1.1 on Accordance 10.1.5, Mac OS10.8.3

 

I like reading this module on my iPad, but the sound files play separately, not allowing one to follow in the text. I will report this on another thread, but would request that the sound files play like they do in Pratico's and Mounce's grammars (play while the text is still displayed).

Thank you both for your quick replies! I checked up to page 20 Helen, and none of the files work...??? I also randomly checked chapters up until chapter 25 and they didn't work either. And everything is up to date if that matters... (10.1.5)

Thanks to Skype I just took a look at David's Mac, and we found that most of the audio files are missing from his copy, so he'll delete it from the Library window and attempt a fresh Easy Install. This may be an issue for others, and we need to look into how these files could have been lost from the single downloaded zip file.

 

For the record: go to Library/Application support/Accordance/Modules/Tools/First Hebrew Primer.atool

Easy check: the Get Info on the module should show 121.9 MB.

To be certain, right-click and choose to Show Package Contents. Open Resources and there should be 213 items in there (not 216, sorry).

The links on pp 340-342 do not work (error sound when clicked). However the files are in the package. One has the strange name: 9-11 Ch. 28 P. 340 A Tall Tale_ ????? ???? (Icarus).mp3 but it plays in iTunes when double clicked.

 

There are 213 items in the package in the Resources folder. Get Info has the tool weigh in at 121.9 MB (the Finder shows it as 121.5 MB under column view).

 

Could you check the links on the pages above?

 

I just looked on my iPad2. The links on pp 340-342 do not work in the iOS either. The next link, p 344, works in both Accordance 10.1.5 and 1.6.3 with the last OS/iOS. The link on p 344 is Ruth continued. There is no link or file on p 343 (the beginning of Ruth).

That was my mistake, there are 216 items if you look at the package, but 213 inside resources itself.

Thanks Rick, but please note; the two following files, 9-12 Ch. 28 P. 341 A Tall Tale (Continued) and 9-13 Ch. 28 P. 342 A Tall Tale (Continued), do not have the question marks in the names and the links in the module still do not work. The next functioning link is on p 344.

 

Page 343 logically appears to be missing a link for the guided reading of Ruth 4:14-17a. The link on p 344 incorrectly states it is "Page 344, the story of Ruth continues" but begins reading on p 343. You cannot change the file, but perhaps move the link and the page number (it would make p 343 blank, but that happens in physical books).

 

I can guess that this module had unusual challenges in its production. Thank you very much to doing so. The blemishes are relatively minor.
