Upgrading Accordance
There are three components to the upgrade of Accordance: the program, the modules, and the packages such as primary levels.
Version 9 is a major program upgrade and highly recommended for all users. Most products can be purchased online and downloaded directly into Accordance 9 on OS X.
Module Upgrades are normally free, either as downloads within Accordance or included with the upgrade to the new DVD/CD-ROM of the same series.
You will want to stay up-to-date with your Primary Collection level as well as the program: with each release new modules are added to the packages or available for unlocking.
Any DVD/CD-ROM with a newer version of Accordance will upgrade your program, but disks priced at $20 or less do require you to own that version of Accordance (or higher).
Note: Purchasing an upgrade does NOT allow you to give away or sell your original copy.
Check for Updates will inform you both of free upgrades, and the optional paid upgrades. However, it does not report on possible upgrades of "levels" such as a Library or Scholar's Introductory Level.
Order an upgrade by clicking the upgrade link on the page for the new product.
Normally when a module is updated, it is made available to users on OS 10.4 and above as a free download through Check for Updates. There is a nominal charge for a new CD-ROM or DVD if required. Some CD-ROMs include additional content for which we do charge. Users on older systems may contact us directly for a link to the downloads of some updated modules.
Special Module Upgrades
Major revisions or new editions of modules are available to owners of the older version for an upgrade fee. In this case the older module will still work but may lack new contents or new features, and cannot be downloaded through Easy Install nor installed from a disk without a new unlock code. This applies mainly to upgrades of Scholar's Modules.
