Functionally, these resources work quite well. They are great tools to supplement study. Visually/aesthetically, I think the Timeline could use some major improvements. It just looks funky, in my opinion. The Logos timeline is much more visually appealing. Also, it would be really nice to have church history included in the Timeline. The last event is "Fall of Western Empire" in 476.

Overall, I'm glad I got the bundle; however, I would like to see some improvements.

If you only buy one add on module, this has to be it. This package is tightly integrated into Accordance and will not disappoint you. The maps are the best in the industry. No one even comes close.

Additionally, particularly if you are visually oriented, the photoguide and timeline will bring your studies alive. I know of no one add on package in the Bible software industry that has so much in one add on package.

I can only give it five stars... I could easily give it ten!

These tools take you back in time by giving visual answers to the "who? what? when? where?" questions. It's one thing to read in a dictionary that something happened in 722 BC, but it's so much more helpful to grasp from a dynamic visual timeline that Micah's prophecy began before the Assyrians carried away Samaria into captivity but he and Isaiah continued preaching to Judah during Sennacherib's invasion and siege of Jerusalem. If you can understand that context, then the subsequent questions of "why? how?" become easier to answer. The interactivity of these tools enable you to ask much more detailed questions than you can answer with the charts in the back of your bible or even a good printed atlas. This is an outstanding addition to any Accordance library.

As a teacher of future pastors and scholars, I am always keen on suggesting resources that will open up the world of the Bible to the students. Beyond suggesting an Accordance bundle, I ALWAYS strongly encourage students to purchase the graphics bundle. And one of my favorite things to do for new students is show them the Accordance atlas and timeline - I get "ooo's" and "ahhhs" every time!
You can compare Accordance's atlas and timeline to anything you want: none of the other software competitors nor anything on the internet comes close to the detail, customizability, user-friendliness, and usefulness of the Accordance map and timeline. The atlas even animates things for you—again this is a feature I use whenever I can in the classroom: It is one thing to tell student Paul went on missionary journeys, but it comes alive when you can actually animate the route on screen with the Accordance atlas. And the fantastic PhotoGuide is the perfect companion for the Accordance map — ...

In another review I stated that the IVI Essential Reference Collections should be the first add-on resource after the purchase of a base package. Well, I may have been wrong. For many users the Graphics Resources should be their first add-on package. This is an amazing array of tools to graphically bring the biblical text alive.

The package includes the interactive Bible Atlas; The Bible Lands PhotoGuide and the interactive Timeline. Each of these resources are outstanding on their own, but bundled together they make the perfect add-on to any base package.

The Bible Atlas is completely interactive. One can create just about any type of map for just about any situation as well as use many excellent maps provided with the package. The true power and flexibility of this tool is beyond the scope of this review. There are some videos covering this resource that should be watched to see how much power there is in the Biblical Atlas. However, the real power using this in ...

The true power and flexibility of this tool is beyond the scope of this review. There are some videos covering this resource that should be watched to see how much power there is in the Biblical Atlas. However, the real power using this in Accordance, once the preferences are set up properly, is how you can select a city and Accordance will take you to the PhotoGuide providing some excellent pictures of the location of interest. The immersion into the biblical world is really helpful in teaching and making the biblical texts come alive.

The PhotoGuide offers excellent pictures of the biblical land along with some history and background. While this is wonderful as a stand alone product, it really shines in conjunction with the Atlas.

The Timeline is also interactive and covers a wide array of history and empires. The timeline can be adjusted to cover just the territories or regimes of interest. Putting perspective into the time of the biblical events in a visual form can be really enlightening.

While many may view these tools as eye-candy, be assured that they are much more. These tools are useful for the student, pastor and scholar alike. For most users this should be purchased along with their base package... it is that useful and informative.
