Accordance puts these lexicons—the standard tools of the trade for OT and NT exegesis—literally at your fingertips. A triple-click on a word in question is all it takes to peruse the information gathered in these tools. And the Accordance price point makes these otherwise cost prohibitive (Brill!) volumes very affordable.

The Accordance ‘Scholar’s Edition’ provides an excellent base for engaging in critical work on the biblical texts. This package does not come with superfluous modules that are of little interest to biblical exegetes. Rather, it provides a starting point for reading, studying, and working with the Old and New Testaments in their original languages. By purchasing the LXX modules and the BDAG/HALOT modules, one is well on their way to an impressive electronic library.

Most impressive in my own use of this package, however, has been the functionality of the Accordance OS itself. The interface is elegant and is not encumbered by unnecessary elements. The search functionality is simple and intuitive, allowing for quick and easy word and collocation searches. And, equally impressive, the Accordance staff is knowledgable and accessible regarding all things Accordance and Apple. That is what I call: Win, win.
