JPS Tanakh Major Update for the Holidays
With its clear, fresh language, the JPS Tanakh is widely recognized as an essential Bible resource by Jews and Christians, scholars and lay leaders. It has been chosen by many religious and secular groups alike as the definitive edition of the Holy Bible. The Hebrew text of the Hebrew-English version is based on the famed Leningrad Codex, the Masoretic text. The translation is a slightly updated version of the 1985 JPS translation, commonly referred to as the New JPS Translation. This JPSS edition from Accordance includes Strong’s numbers which link each major word to the Hebrew Scriptures.
Just in time for the Jewish New Year and Holidays, we have updated the Tanakh with Strong’s (and the plain JPS). The text is now formatted for poetry and paragraphs. The margin notes are available in a separate module including parashot and section headings. This is a free update to our users, but you will need to run both Check for Content Updates and Easy Install to receive the Notes module.
Through next Monday, October 3, we are offering the JPS with Strong's for only $14.90 (regular price $19.90).
We send to all our Jewish readers our blessings for the High Holidays: the New Year, Yom Kippur, and Sukkoth. May your joyful celebrations herald a fruitful, healthy, and happy year!
