NEW! Thru the Bible with J. Vernon McGee

October 29, 2018 - Richard Mansfield — I fondly remember driving late at night between Kentucky and Louisiana in the early 90s going back and forth three or four times a year between seminary and visiting family back home. Well, it wasn’t the late night drive I remember fondly, but rather listening to J. Vernon McGee’s Thru the Bible radio broadcast. Granted, McGee probably wouldn’t have been accepted by my professors as a proper source for an exegesis paper, but I didn’t care. I enjoyed his wit and style; and although some would not agree with me, I even liked listening to his ...

NEW! MacDonald's Believer's Bible Commentary

October 29, 2018 - Richard Mansfield — Although William MacDonald (1917 – 2007) wrote over 84 books in his lifetime, he was best known for the Believer’s Bible Commentary, which we are releasing today for the Accordance Bible Software Library. In addition to being a prolific writer, MacDonald was part of the faculty and eventually president of Emmaus Bible College. It has been said that MacDonald refused to accept royalties for any of his books but instead created a Trust for translating the Believers Bible Commentary into other languages. MacDonald’s own faith background was ...

Recent Accordance Training in the Philippines

October 11, 2018 - Ryan Mudge — Last week I had the pleasure of leading an Accordance Training Seminar at the Biblical Seminary of the Philippines. Over half of the students are Chinese, and most of these are from mainland China. My seminar was translated into Mandarin, as many of the students did not understand much English. They were incredibly encouraged to see the Chinese localized version of Accordance, including our Atlas and Timeline translated into Chinese and our Strong’s tagged Chinese Union Version. It was exciting to see their hunger for studying Scripture! The ...

New Preaching Titles from Langham Partnership!

October 08, 2018 - Richard Mansfield — In 1969, John Stott began donating the proceeds from all of his books (which have sold millions of copies over the years and continue to sell well, even after his death), as well as honoraria from speaking engagements, to the Langham Partnership. Based on the reality that 61% of Christians live in the non-Western world, the Langham Partnership seeks to equip the “Majority World…for mission and and growing to maturity in Christ through the ministry of pastors who believe, teach and live by the Word of God.” Langham Literature is the publishing ...
