@npena83 It might not be exactly what you're looking for, but you can get a single lexeme parsing via a right-click -> copy-as -> instant details.

Question for Zsh users: Do you use the framework 'Oh my Zsh' ?
Lawrence replied to Brian K. Mitchell's topic in Mac, iOS, and Apple Non-Accordance Questions
@Brian K. Mitchell This framework is new to me. It looks interesting, but I think I prefer a more standard and minimalist setup. Unless I'm doing something specific that requires a lot of heavy-lifting by frameworks, it's usually quicker to just program up a shell script as needed (compared to learning a new framework), using whichever shell was loaded straight out of the box. -

Lawrence replied to Brian K. Mitchell's topic in Mac, iOS, and Apple Non-Accordance Questions
I like csh, but that's just because I learned the script syntax when messing around with it at uni 'way back when'. These days, I mostly just use whatever the system defaults to - probably zsh or bash. -
@mtpeterson It's a bit of a weird setup, but you need to use the "+" button on the right of the search bar, not the "[range ...]" command within the main search bar. Here's an example. I've linked to the Accordance instruction video at the bottom of this message. 1. Select Search->Define Range... . Define a range called Test that's just the book of Romans. Click Update and close the Define Ranges dialog box. 2. Search for Paul in the Test range by typing "Paul" in the search bar, clicking the "+" button at the right of the search bar (a new row appears and "+" turns into "x"). 3. Select "Test" from the dropdown. and hit "enter" to search. Accordance instruction video:

How to define search ranges that work?
Donald Cobb replied to mtpeterson's topic in Accordance How-To
I understand that. But if I'm not mistaken, you do have to save the new range. Have you tried that? -

Thanks for the reply, but I am using the define a range from the option menu where the only choices are the <verify> and <update> options. -

Question for Zsh (Z -shell) users: (1) Do you use the framework 'oh my Zsh' with Zsh? (2) If so why? If not why not? -
Currently I have the verbs for 1 Jn. and in the analysis I have all the verbs showing it's parsing. I want to know if there is a way to copy and paste this information in a clean way. Currently if I copy and paste there is a lot of tabing and new line characters. And this is what it looks like in a text file: What I would like to see is something more like this: Just one line of the information I want. The purpose behind this is to create flash cards for a book for the purpose of parsing practice. Thanks in advance.

What is Alfred 5?
A. Smith replied to Brian K. Mitchell's topic in Mac, iOS, and Apple Non-Accordance Questions
another alfred feature I use all the time: toggle low power mode. I'm on an Intel Mac and sometimes I really need full power while on battery. Other times I don't. I can simple key alfred and type <lp> and it toggles low power mode. I don't have to open settings or anything else. Alfred does that (it does open settings; but I don't have to make any change; sometimes I quit settings. Sometimes I let it run because I'm in a workflow and I just don't care). I'm telling you, alfred is amazing.- 7 replies

Windows VM on Apple Silicon Macs Running Parallels
A. Smith replied to Dr. Nathan Parker's topic in Mac, iOS, and Apple Non-Accordance Questions
actually did that just to test how my windows install was working. However, the two libraries took up too much space on my tiny 512gb ssd so I had to uninstall it. New macine will be 1tb. Maybe I'll try it again and post pics. -
What is Mac Scripting?
A. Smith replied to Brian K. Mitchell's topic in Mac, iOS, and Apple Non-Accordance Questions
tbh I don't use scripting or automator anymore. I did. But shortcuts has done all of that much simpler for me. -

And if you use a lot of shortcuts (I do; over 100 of them custom to my needs), you can run shortcuts directly from alfred. just and then you'll see a list of your shortcuts. You can also make other shortcuts to run a specific shortcut. To me, alfred, bartender, and shortcuts are the killer apps of macOS. BTW, I've come back to alfred because of shortcuts. I used it years ago and then dropped it. I'm now back at it with v5 and will never leave again.- 7 replies

alfred haș changed my life. It is like spotlight. Sure. But it's so, so much more. especially if you pay and get the power pack. You can compose emails, control music, send files, create and organize folders, on and on, all from alfred. If you're one who likes to keep their hands on the keyboard rather than back and forth with trackpad/mouse, it can't be beat and is worth 10x what I paid for my use.- 7 replies

Apple Watch Question
A. Smith replied to Dr. Nathan Parker's topic in Mac, iOS, and Apple Non-Accordance Questions
I still use a series 4. Upgraded a few years ago from the series 0/original Apple Watch. From 4 on, I've found everything is instant and the watch is actually useable. The series 0 was so slow that it was basically useless for me. I tried the 4 as my last shot to see if this was a thing I'd get into. the 4 is fantastic. Everything after is even better. From what I've seen the 2gen SE is basically a spec-bumped series 4, so I wouldn't expect any issues whatsoever. -

Is anyone else having issues converting PDFs to text as a user tool in Accordance 14.0.9? When I try: User tools > Import... > Create a New User tool > Interpret as: general > Ok I either get a list of page numbers with no text (as seen below) or each page of the PDF is presented as an image on each page. Let me know if I am doing something incorrectly or if User Tools is not the right application for what I am trying to accomplish.

I'm now having the same problem as @Accordance Enthusiast. I've been using the most recent update to Accordance smoothly for months. Suddenly, Accordance crashed, logged me out, and made me recommit to the End User Agreement. When I reentered the login info, that same popup began appearing and hasn't stopped. Yep, same here when i went back so hopefully sales will be able to sort it out for me, but it still raises the question why sales need to get involved to do something manually when the software on the server should know what we own. -
