Is this what you're saying? I'm getting nouns with this search. [verb] [count 1] φρεναπατάω (φρήν, ἀπάτη) to deceive = 1 Φύγελος Phygellus = 1 φυλακίζω (φυλάσσω) to imprison = 1 χειραγωγός (χείρ, ἄγω) one who leads by the hand = 1 χόρτασμα (χόρτος) feed; food = 1 χρηστεύομαι (χράομαι) to be good, kind = 1 ψευδοδιδάσκαλος (ψεύδομαι, διδάσκω) false teacher = 1 ᾠόν (ᾠόν) (n) egg = 1

You're welcome. The difference between this and Vida's approach is the extra @[count ...] constraint in hers. Yes, you should get lexical forms with this approach. The only issue I've found with these searches is that sometimes I get extraneous crases in the results that don't actually turn up in the text. In my case, though, I list lexemes from a given book, sorted by the number of occurrences of each lexeme in the whole New Testament, not just the number of times they appear in that particular book. Maybe the bug in my list comes up only with the extra complication, but it's rare enough that I can just skip over them.

Thanks!! This appears to be how Vida did it earlier. Quick question. It appears to be so but I want to confirm, the analysis gives me the lexical form correct? Could you foresee any anomalies in this approach?

@josephbradford Another way to do this is to type [verb] into the search box (including the square brackets), click the pie chart on the right of the search box -> Analysis Click "Sort:" in the window that pops up -> Count down This gives all the verbs sorted by number of occurrences in the text.

    Accordance in the Cloud

We'd like them to stick their heads in the cloud, but their managers seem to want them to sync first. Is cloud vapour? Well yes, but .... Puns aside, though, they are owning the mistake. Nevertheless, there are major holes that they're trying to patch: - pre-v.14 instability in data corruption and Easy-Install panic attacks. - early-v.14 platform instability - syncing - cloud access A lot of the v.14 instability has been addressed, though the pre-v.14 instability still seems to be lurking around. The pre-v.14 kinds of instability can get magnified by concurrent access, which both syncing and cloud usage intrinsically encourage. On the other hand, there may be some major changes required for a proper fix. For example, if they change their data format, we would all need to reinstall everything from scratch. If you have a lot of custom data, this can feel daunting. As you suggest, if we take v.14.0.9 on its own merits, it's a decent ministry tool. That's what Accordance is doing these days - they're not pushing cloud etc in their marketing as far as I can tell. Nevertheless, I don't mind a peek behind the scenes when someone asks. I don't see that as vaporware publicity; it's treating us as more than just customers, which is a good thing.

    Accordance in the Cloud

MHanel, I could not agree more. Between Accordance Cloud and Syncing, the message is sinking!! Accordance 2022...really? Own the mistake and either reimburse all those who you did not deliver to or credit them!! Accordance what has happened?
  13. I make own PODCASTS (on FB and YT). I to a large degree draw inspiration and quotes from books I have, for them. I have just started reviewing books, see: Pillar New Testament Commentary (17 Volumes, 5 Revised) (October 2023) - Accordance (accordancebible.com) NICNT: The Gospel of John, by J. Ramsey Michaels (2010) - Accordance (accordancebible.com) And I sing in two churchchoirs. In one of them I don't understand the language of the sermons and won't learn it, but can sing in. I can consider going to some more Church just for the experience and sermons and Biblestudies, too, but I feel a bit ashamed IF I can't contribute. I don't necessarily want to voice religious aspects of live if I would say something in things like Biblestudies. And I am accountant of the student union's board. I have got all the books I wanted and needed, and now during 2024 am not buying more, just three more books - that's gonna be during second half of May. it is possible for me to research, read closely, find satisfying answers to whatever I may wonder. I read regularly. I don't take notes other than for the purpose of producing my podcasts, but I might want to do highlights - later on 2025. I make efficient use of time for example in the commuter traffic. I don't have a need to discuss religious things. I do read Scriptures privately, and in total I have read them a lot. I do show it openly when I am carrying Scriptures. ACCORDANCE HAS THE RIGHT WORKFLOW AND I LOVE THE EASE OF BUYING AND OFTEN BUY AT REGULAR PRICE.

    Accordance in the Cloud

It would be helpful if Accordance didn't argue or play semantics on this anymore. Just own the mistake. It is vaporware in the sense that it was advertised as a coming feature of Accordance 14 before it was released and there still isn't even a date of beta testing in mid year 2024. Help your customer base out by just saying, we really screwed this up and we're working on it. No it is not done yet, and we don't know when, but this is the project we're putting all our resources toward. You can't change the past, so don't try to gaslight folks by saying the marketing wasn't promising this over a year and a half ago. I'm a customer. You have my money. I'm the one waiting for the product that was promised.

    Accordance in the Cloud

It is certainly not abandonware nor vaporware. I have seen some internal builds of Accordance Cloud and watching the programming team progress on this. I don't have a specific ETA yet on when we'll release it to a customer beta (I'll post an update when we do), but our programming team is continuing to make progress on Accordance Cloud. I'm looking forward to it myself, as having access to my Accordance modules anywhere will be a huge plus.

Text cut off - Rev 11:15 NIV

I can confirm this on my M2 MacBook Air running Accordance 14.0.9, Sonoma 14.5 (so also present in 14.5). I've attached my screenshot and debug log for our programmers. I'll get this filed as a bug report. To Reproduce: Open a new Text pane to ESV with Strongs, add NIV 2011 Enhanced GKE and CSB with Strong's in Parallel Navigate to Rev 11.15 (I used Verse Search to get there) The issue appears I believe we resolved a similar issue on Mobile. Accordance in the Cloud

Supposedly, Accordance cloud is coming. It was supposed to be part of Accordance 14, but they have yet to deliver on the promise. Personally, I'll believe it when I see it, but they say it is coming (Of course, they also said that we would have it by the end of 2022). It would be beneficial to have.

It makes sense. How would I search for the verbs? If I do a tag search for V I'm going to get every conjugation. Thanks for taking the time to reply.

Journals or Christian Periodicals You Read

Hello @Dr. Nathan Parker I took your advice! Galaxie.com currently offers 39 or 40 different journal titles for a decent monthly subscription fee. However, I am unfamiliar with any of the journals in Galaxie's collection and unfortunately, Galaxie does not seem to offer a description of the various Journal titles. I am not really sure what I am looking at, but at least I now know that Galaxie does not include any of the Journal titles I mentioned in my earlier post on this thread. POSTSCRIPT: For anyone who is curious here is a listing of the current Journal offerings in Galaxie's collection: Ashland Theological Journal Bible and Spade Bibliotheca Sacra Bulletin for Biblical Research Central Bible Quarterly Chafer Theological Seminary Journal Christian Apologetics Journal Conservative Theological Journal Conspectus Detroit Baptist Seminary Journal Eikon Emmaus Journal Faith and Mission Global Journal of Classical Theology Grace Journal Grace Theological Journal Interdisciplinary Journal on Biblical Authority Journal for Baptist Theology & Ministry Journal for Biblical Manhood and Womanhood Journal of Christian Apologetics Journal of Discipleship and Family Ministry Journal of Dispensational Theology Journal of Ministry and Theology Journal of the Evangelical Theological Society Journal of the Grace Evangelical Society Journal of the Institute of Reformed Baptist Studies Maranatha Baptist Theological Journal Masters Seminary Journal Michigan Theological Journal Priscilla Papers Puritan Reformed Journal Reformation and Revival Reformed Baptist Theological Review Reformed Presbyterian Theological Journal Southeastern Theological Review Southern Baptist Journal of Theology Trinity Journal Tyndale Bulletin Westminster Theological Journal

Accordance would be great in the cloud for many reasons. I don't want to give up. I believe it can happen. Thanks to all the people who are working hard to bring it to pass.

Side question: Who all here is a member of ETS, and what do you consider to be the main benefit of being an ETS member? I'm an ETS member, but I haven't attended any of the annual meetings yet. Maybe I will once I get my PhD dissertation published or closer to it so I can present a paper at it. Plus I could always be a part of the Accordance booth too sometime. :-)

So far I've been using the default. Since it was a while since I used the Start Menu on Windows 10, I haven't had a major problem with it, but wondering if there's something I'm missing out in third-party apps.
