For those who don't know, it might be good to see how to search all journals in a research tab ...

I hope the AI spying will be able to be turned off how Siri can currently be turned off.

I work in a dark office with a desk lamp (on purpose). The darkness helps me focus, and dark mode prevents me from being blinded by my screen. When I'm working in a bright room, I prefer light mode because it corresponds to the ambient lighting.

I have submitted the following files to tech support. I have gotten to the point where I can consistently reproduce the bug now following these steps: 1) Open Accordance. 2) Open ESV with Strong’s module. 3) Type John 3 in the search bar and press enter (search returns John 3:1 highlighted, as expected) 4) Scroll down through the module (I scrolled down to at least John 3:22). 5) Now click in the search bar and type Gen 3. Press enter. 6) Search dumps me to Genesis 1:1 (not highlighted). If I scrolled down to Genesis 3, I would find Gen 3:1 highlighted. I screen-recorded and debug-logged the above steps in the two attachments. Screen Recording 2024-04-25 at 11.07.02 AM.mov Debug-Log-20240425-1107-05.txt

I am still looking for a Dutch BibleTagged or Strong numbers. Or is there a workaround so I can get Statenvertaling with Strong numbers in accordance ? I have the Statenvertaling purchased

Thanks for the possible work around. I am thankful that it worked for you. I reinstalled the Sonoma twice and then installed Accordance. Each time the same problem as you described. I have removed the program completely, including the library files. I will wait for 14.0.10 and then decide whether to retry. Between the bugs in the latest Accordance release and the fiasco of Logos reinventing itself into a subscription service, my investments in each platform are on hold. Disappointing.

This is generally the only workspace use unless I’m wanting to focus on only a pane or two, in which case I make a new workspace with 2-3 windows. I’ve never noticed the problem there. But I don’t do it often, so idk.

I don't know the answer to that one. I would wait for the Apple Event For a faster answer you could call Apple Tech Support.

Thus my comment about my brand new m3 pro . . . . is it enough for 'ajax'?? Same for iPhone 15 or 15pro.

Thanks Mike, I think I have lost all the hidden files in this folder. I have no idea when and how they went disappear. I just copied them from an old Mac and the problem is fixed! -
Dr. Nathan Parker started following Journal Webinar

I'm likely doing a webinar in journals in the next week or so. Besides wanting more journals in Accordance (we all do), what are some things you'd like to learn in the webinar to get more out of using the journals you own? Thanks!

I use Dark Mode for as many applications as I can due to the length of time each day on a computer, it helps avoid the brightness burning holes in my retinas However, I have not yet updated and tried Dark Mode (been too busy). Below is a link to an old post of mine showing what colour schemes i currently use to alleviate eye strain and why, if it helps others. a link to

Apple Event
Dr. Nathan Parker replied to rgallo's topic in Mac, iOS, and Apple Non-Accordance Questions
That's a bit how I feel when I watch these! -
Is this the only workspace that does this, or do any of your other ones do it? Have you tried creating other workspaces (both simple ones and more complex ones similar to this) to see if it happens to those?

Library bug, Accordance crashing in safe-mode
Dr. Nathan Parker replied to Lawrence's topic in Bug Reports: Windows
Thanks for the update. Keep working with Tech Support via email and keep us posted. -
Might be good to ask Sales/Customer Service for a clear answer.

At the moment, I'm trying Dark Mode on Mac, Light Mode on Windows. Might keep running with it for a while.

I believe that you are correct. LSJ uses this same abbreviation ('sens. obsc.') for the the full 'sensu obsceno' meaning 'with obscene meaning.' Apparently, this is how lexicographers deal with the problem of obscenity. For more information you can see, Coker, Amy. "Obscenity: A Problem for the Lexicographer." In Liddell and Scott: The History, Methodology, and Languages of the World's Leading Lexicon of Ancient Greek, 61–81. Edited by Stray, Christopher, Michael Clarke, and Joshua T. Katz. Oxford, UK: Oxford University Press, 2019.

Kristin started following obsc. in BDB
-
Sometimes in an entry in BDB it says "obsc." I looked at the abbreviations listed, but is not provided. Does "obsc." mean "obscure" or "obscene"? I think obscene, but I don't want to guess wrong. The full sentence says "(c. ל pers.; sensu obsc.)." Thanks for any help anyone is able to provide. Kristin
