I’ve got the same problem. I can download purchased items to my iPad, but not on my Mac or iPhone. Haven’t tried it on Windows or Android devices.

Hello Dr. Parker I notice you refer to a number of different lists you are keeping. Is it possible to see the top five in the 'feature requests' list? In other words, is it possible to see which feature requests have been most often requested?

I am going through the LifeGuide on Prayers of the OT. I noticed that when I take notes, some of the notes are missing the next time I visit the pages. A comment box is blank after I had written something in it. Is there a way to "save" my comments? I don't see anything that allows me to do that as in Notes and other User tools.

I had a similar problem last week and contacted support. The tech I spoke to did something, then I refreshed my list using the gear icon. The missing module appeared.

@smf360, I agree with everything you wrote and it is extremely frustrating. If I spent three hours a day exporting my notes by hand I still don't think I would be done in a year, and frankly, I don't have three spare hours a day. Yet I feel time pressure to get them out since the longer they are there the more likely they are to be corrupted and lost forever. I NEVER would have created USER notes if there was no way for the USER to access their own notes. I still need notes for class, but with new notes I create them somewhere else then just have a copy in Accordance, but I will never again create material in Accordance. On a practical note, I recommend just spending the time to chip away at exporting it by hand like I have been doing. It is time consuming and mentally exhausting, but users have been asking Accordance for the ability to export notes for literally years, so at this point I wouldn't hold my breath. Also, with the history Accordance has with corruption (notes, highlights, the rush of v.14...) I am also concerned that if exporting becomes possible, the act of exporting would eat my notes. So if this hypothetically ever does become an option, be sure to do time machine before you do it.

I see that it has been a year since this issue was raised. I have a huge number of unsearchable notes, There are a growing number of corruptions in my note file, which is making it increasingly more difficult to stay within accordance. I've accumulated over 20years of notes in accordance, so it is costly for me to switch to another application. Is there any momentum in doing this? Or at least sending a key to the encoding so an open source solution can be found? I feel like my notes are hostage to Accordance.

I return to the problem of searching my notes time and again. Even if I open the raw file with a text editor, I can't find the actual verse reference when I find a text string. Accordance has very carefully made its encoding inscrutable to anyone who wants to work with their own notes file!!! This issue has been open for awhile....

I am mistaken, you are correct. The term is italicized and is found as a transliteration in HALOT, and most of the other Hebrew lexicons. But the research feature does not have a tag for transliteration. I looked through each of my Hebrew lexicons individually to find it.

There is also the wyclif bible translated about 1380 ;o)

Hi @ukfraser, Yes, I like old versions, and I do have Tyndale. That was very considerate of you to suggest it. Someone had mentioned something about the Great Bible the other day and I had just been surprised how it differed from the old bibles I have, so it made me really curious. Regarding Tyndale, I just tried searching in the store too but can't find it either. I know there have been a lot of threads about it, but I really hope searching the store is drastically improved. It is pretty intense that we are both searching for a resource Accordance has but neither of us can find it. (I can find it on the Accordance Exchange, btw, but the copy we both have seems to be from Accordance).

Kristin, slightly off topic. If you are after early translations and im not sure if you already have it but there is already a copy of Tyndale somewhere in accordance. I couldn't find it in the library when i searched and the copy in accordance has a few variances in it compared to my british library hard copy of the 1526 nt.

Hi Ken, if I understand correctly, I don't have the time to do something like this. What I am trying to accomplish is to find that transliteration in EVERY English dictionary, Hebrew dictionary, Greek dictionary, and every commentary which I own (hence doing "Research"). From what you said it sound like a lot of work. Actually, the more I think about it, while there really needs to be a way for individuals to do research on transliterations (since resources use them), perhaps @mbcvida answered it. My question is why the first and third parts are in Hebrew, but the middle part is not. I had wanted to do research to try to understand why he didn't right מָ. That was all I was trying to research. Hi @mbcvida If I am understanding correctly, it is transliterated as opposed to מָ since HALOT is saying they aren't sure? So the first and third part they feel sure enough to write in Hebrew, but the מָ is unclear so they transliterate it? Or am I misunderstanding what you mean? Concerning italics, I think it is. If you compare the mā to the "n.m" above it, it appears to be in italics I think.

Followup: on the website (Account>Orders), my purchase history only goes back to 4/27/2018. I checked several of the titles from that order history, and none of them show up on the "installed items list."

On May 1 I "purchased" the three free Edersheim works from the (corrected) May Newsletter. I hadn't gotten around to installing them until today, only to discover that they don't appear as an Easy Install option on any of my devices. (an Intel Macbook Running Ventura, an iPhone 8 iOS 16.7.7, and iPad 10 running iPad OS 17.4.1, an HP Intel Core i3 running Windows 10 Home). I have an email verifying the "purchase" and they show up in My Account>Orders on the website. On my Mac, I have: -clicking on the gear icon in the Easy Install window and choosing "Refresh List" -Restarted Accordance -Restarted Accordance in safe mode and cleared some caches However, given that it's not working on any of my devices, I don't think the problem is on my end. One other note on both my Mac and the Windows machine in my office: if Open Easy Install, click the gear icon in that window and choose "Show Installed Items," the newest item on the list gives a date of 10/23/17. I have purchased numerous modules for Accordance since that date, including ones that were new releases when I purchased them. [The Nouvelle Français Courant is just one example]. If I use the "search" box in the Easy Install window to search for these newer modules, it cannot find them. [These purchases are, however, listed as purchased on my account on the website]. All of these modules that are missing on the "Installed Items list" are already installed on these devices.

If you search for an Arabic word and "highlight all hits", Accordance highlights a random phrase next to the word. There also doesn't seem to be a logic. In the screenshot you can see it is highlighting a phrase to the right, but then in the last example the word occurs three times, yet it only highlighted a random phrase twice.

I think part of the issue with the search is that the transliterated term in HALOT you are searching for is not formatted as a transliteration. The asterisk preceding the "ma" is HALOT's designation of a hypothetical term (see list of abbreviations in HALOT). They are trying to show the components of the name Abimael and have listed a hypothetical ma to account for the mem in the word. HALOT''s transliterated terms seem to be italicized and this one is not.

Hi Kristin, I am almost 100% certain you can't do this using "research". You can (as I am sure you know) search individual resources (like HALOT) for a transliteration using the field drop down in the resource's search bar. This is because (as I understand it) the various tools have so many differing fields available that it just wasn't possible at the time to have it all rolled into the research drop down. How many different fields would be necessary there!! (and many useless in numerous resources). So, you can create a custom workspace with the transliteration item selected in each of the resources you want to search, and then link them all using the LINK command. Let me know if you'd like help doing this.

Thank you for the idea. I checked the exchange and it isn't there. Please put this in as a feature request if you are able. Accordance offers a lot of Arabic resources, so a reputable dictionary seems to really be needed.

Hi @mbcvida, I was in HALOT and looking at someone's name. HALOT said part of his name was mā, and I wanted to know more about that. So I selected it, right click, and clicked "Research" to find all resources that had it. Research then claimed that no resource used it, but obviously that's not true as at least HALOT did. I can attach a screenshot if that helps.

I'm not seeing one in my library. Not sure if the Accordance Exchange has it.

I want to use this when I start teaching in seminary, so if there's any seminary that wants me to teach Systematic Theology for a semester, maybe that could push to get this one into production. :-)

could you provide a little more info? - what resources do you wish to search? which resource contained the transliterated word? I have noticed that different resources often use different transliteration schemes. Also I notice that many of the resources have a transliteration search option, but they do not seem to find transliterated words, but simply English words untransliterated (look for the transliterated word "mah, or ma" (Hebrew מה) and the results are often any English words containing the letters MA. )

I just saw where John MacArthur is going to release the LSB version of the MacArthur Study Bible second edition. Since Accordance was the first platform where the LSB was released digitally, that would be a great module to have.
