External Links in User Tools

I do a fair amount of interenet research for my sermon prep, and over the years I have downloaded and stored on my hard drive .html, .doc and .cwk files I've found or reformatted. Some of them are quite lengthy, and as has been mentioned in this forum before, html imports into user tools are far from perfect. It occurred to me the other day that rather than trying to spend time reformatting these files for Accordance, it would be easier if it were possible to enter links for the external files into the User Tools.

For example, I have a long article on Jewish Feminist interpetation of Esther. It would probably take me an hour or more to import it into Accordance and then correct all the formatting problems. It would be far easier to simply make a note in my User Tool for Lectionary Year B "see FeministEsther.html," and code the file name as a link for an external file. Both Slacker (a to-do list application) and Voodoo Pad lite allow these kind of links, so I know it's possible in an application, but I don't know how difficult it would be to implement in Accordance.

What I would like may or may not require the same programming as Hoover's request. But since (I think) it isn't yet possible to include images in a User Tool, I would like to be able to have external links to image files on my hard drive (photos, line drawings).
