In the LXX Psalms 9 & 10 are combined into a single psalm. So once you get to Ps 10 in the LXX, the numbering is all off by 1. Ps 10-LXX is Ps 11-Masoretic. The numbering is not random. The order is the same in both LXX & Masoretic. The 'fusion' just throws it off by one.
Hey – I did a check at the end of the Psalms. The order syncs up again @ Ps 148. If you open a Workspace with LXX as your search text plus LXX-B, NETS, and an English Bible based on the Masoretic, then start clicking, one verse at a time beginning at Ps 146, you will see that
Ps 147:1 LXX
= Ps 146:12 LXX-B
= Ps 147:1 NETS
= Ps 147:12 NAS95
At Ps 148, they all seem to match up. Of course the LXX + LXX-B + NETS all have Ps 151. Talk about confusing!
