One workspace, three libraries

Hi ya,

I was mucking about with David Bailey's ID and library resize issue and I got the attached.

post-32023-0-25180600-1387006915_thumb.jpg

I'll try to work out exact steps but the basics are.

Open a new ws.

Open ID in horiz. mode

Open the library - I have it on by default in new ws

Flip the ID to vertical and try to resize the library larger and smaller.

Flip ID to horiz and again resize the library.

Do this a few times then do File -> New Workspace. This should flicker the display a little and then give you two libraries in the one w/s

Do it again (File -> New Workspace) and you should have three.

thx

D

*Three* libraries Daniel? What gives? I only got one library with my Accordance purchase! :D

Santa came early and gave me some extras :)

Alas once this happens opening a new workspace is impossible without restarting Acc.

You can close the additional libs by clicking once per lib on the toolbar button though.

Thx

Daniel, I'm having trouble reproducing your triplicated Libraries. I've been following your steps, but each time I do 'new workspace', it properly gives me a new workspace with a Library, rather than adding a library to my main workspace. Is this still reproducible to you? Could you perhaps post a screen capture of your process, in case we missed something?

I have repro.d it this morning just now with a secondary workspace but it wasn't straightforward. I still can't point to an exact sequence. I'll keep working on it.

Thx

Ok here are the steps. I've done this twice now the trot this way.

Open Accordance

Open a single workspace window

Make sure instant details is horizontal at the bottom

and the library is open on the left.

Expand the library to the right as far as it will go.

The click on the switch to vertical icon on ID

You will get an error dialog indicating that there is not enough space to set it up that way.

Clear the dialog

Shrink the library back a bit

Switch the ID to vertical using the icon

Now try File -> New Workspace.

The display of the window will flicker a bit and produce a second library zone.

At this point I suspect each new workspace will produce a new library pane until you run out of space to it.

Thx
D

For what is worth, in the MAC, I followed those steps and it does not do what Daniel is speaking about. In the MAC works properly.
