davidmedina
I trying out the different Copy As available on Accordance. I am copying from the ESVS to MS Word for MAC 2011. When I do Copy as Transliteration I get the Following: For hGod so loved ithe world,* jthat he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not kperish but have eternal life. Is this correct? For some reason I expected the transliterated version of John 3:16. I suspect that I am missing something or I have a wrong setting somewhere. In the Accordance Preference -per Mounce instructions- I have the Export set up to "Export all character with unicode format." I suspect he has it that way because the word processor he uses. Could someone tell me what should be the settings for export if I am using MS Word or Apple Pages? When I do Copy as Lemma I get: Is this what I suppose to get? My obvious concur is the paragraphs symbols. I don't think I am suppose to get those. In the Word Font it tells me I am using Helena. davidmedina
Ok. I left the Export set to "Export all character with unicode format." but I also selected Use Default Font and selected Lucinda Grande and for the Lemmas copy-paste I think I got the right copy-paste now. Yes? No? (γάρ , θεός , ,οὕτως, οὕτω, ἀγαπάω , πανταχόθεν , κόσμος , ὥστε , δίδωμι , μονογενής , υἱός , ἵνα , πᾶς , πιστεύω , εἰς , αὐτός , μή , ἀπόλλυμι , ἀλλά , ἔχω, αἰώνιος , ζωή ) As fat=r as the transliteration copy-as feature. I am assuming I have to copy from the greek text and not from the English in order to work because it is giving the transliteration from the Original language. Correct? Why is the option available when copying from the English text? Does it has any use there? Thanks. Edited December 29, 2013 by davidmedina
Randy Cue
David to get a transliteration you must use "copy as" in an original language text. Open up the GNT, highlight John 3:16, and then use "copy as" a transliteration. That should do it for you. Soli Deo Gloria, Randy
