Enoch
After my MacBook crashed, Accordance would not work, though I rebooted from scratch twice. I guess I will try downloading the program. Helen Brown
This kind of issue is much better discussed directly with our tech support department. Downloading the program is unlikely to help, as it is more likely that your preferences or other files are corrupted.
Enoch
Tnx, well actually it doth appear that downloading solved the problem completely. I just went to Accordance & downloaded. I thought this was tech support.
Timothy Jenney
Hi, Enoch! No, contact tech support directly at (407) 339-0266, M-F from 10 AM-6 PM Eastern. those folks are really good at isolating individual user's problems. They can even screen share (your computer or theirs) to troubleshoot issues together. These forums are more useful for issues that affect a lot of people, as everyone can chime in here, Accordance employees and users alike.
Enoch
IMHO: 1) Posting a problem here first (of this nature) is more time efficient since It may require only a brief comment like, "try reinstalling Accortdance." 2) The problem may well not be individual only. I doubt that many problems are actually individual only. 3) Chiming in is just what I get benefit. 4) I understand that tech support may like to brush aside the user and poke around in the computer quickly to get the job done faster. But I don't like to screen share or turn over my computer to someone else who may do what I don't want. Bad things can result from that. Generally I have found that the problem does not require that, and I learn more by discussing and following tech support suggestions in real time. Also I am able to censor the suggestion if it seems a bad idea to me. 5) In this case there was no need to screen share or turn over the computer. Thanks for giving me the phone number.
