eshane7
I have seen a two different times now that there are supposed to be popups in Dr. J's tutorials. I'm about 95% sure it is for version 10.x. I have version 10, and it is up-to-date. However, I never can get pop ups to work. I press the option key, and I press the option command key, but never get a pop up. I have tried a few different Bible versions, a few different words, but it never seems to give me a popup definition, or even other references. Am I missing something, or is this a bug? Perhaps I'm not doing something right. Certainly appreciate a little insight on this. Thanks! Edited June 17, 2014 by eshane7
Helen Brown
Are you using Bible versions that are tagged with Key numbers or other information?
Ken Simpson
Hi Shane, as Helen suggests, if it's not a keyed text, then a pop-up won't be there (nor will instant details if you open that pane - CMD-OPT-2). The keyed texts generally end with an S - ESVS, KJVS, NRSVS, HCSBS, etc (but not NETS - that’s the New English Translation of the Septuagint), or for the NIV - NIV-G/K or NIV11-G/K. Every install of Acc 10 comes with ESVS and KJVS, so if you select one of them as your search text, then you should get a pop-up on OPT-clicking). This also works with a tagged original language text, indicated by a -T suffix to the name, like GNT-T. GNT28-T, HMT-T or the like. Let us know how you go.
eshane7
Thanks Helen and Ken! It was a simple over site on my part. I was indeed using the KJVS, however I wasn't clicking. I was just hovering and pressing the option key. Why I didn't think to actually click is beyond me! It is those simple, little things in life that we often overlook that can cause us problems. Appreciate the help! Edited June 17, 2014 by eshane7
