Greg
Is it possible for the Widget to correctly render "LORD" in all caps from the ESV text? I find that I have to go back and manually change the spelling from "Lord" each time I use the Widget. Or am I doing something wrong. . .?
Helen Brown
The problem is due to the fact that in many Bibles, such as the ESV, Accordance correctly uses small caps for the divine name. The clipboard does not support the small caps style, so the capital letters are lost in copy and paste. Accordance should be converting it to full caps but it seems to have lost this feature recently, we will look into it.
Greg
That would be great, thanks!
jpkang
Hi, I'm reviving this thread because I just noticed that copying small caps words like LORD from the NIV and NRSV renders them as "Lord"… so perhaps the bug has resurfaced in 12? (12.0.3) I checked documents that I generated in the recent past from text copied and pasted from Accordance 12 and 11 and those had it correct (as LORD), so it must be a fairly recent regression. UPDATE: OK, I'm seeing this on one Mac, but not another. So maybe there's a preference I need to reset? Edited February 17, 2017 by jpkang
Joel Brown
JP, I'm not able to reproduce this. My LORD exports fine on my computer - how are you copying, and to what program? What are your Export and Citation preferences?
jpkang
Thanks, Joel. Here are my preferences—do you see anything that might explain it?
Joel Brown
In addition to those preferences, how are you copying, and what are you pasting into? Are you using anything special to paste? Also, are you still copying from the ESVS?
