proslambano
This could just be user ignorance! I didn't have my instant details window open because I want to conserve screen space. I hovered over note "10" in Acts 5:5 in the NET bible and was trying to get a pop up window to appear. I held down CMD key while clicking on the "10" and it opened a research tab in another zone and gave me the spinning wheel. That was five minutes ago, and Accordance is still unusable. The Research windows says "Searching %@". Clicking the "stop" button doesn't work. Had to force quit.
proslambano
now when I reopen Accordance I notice several research tabs are open. Not sure if they were there before or if they only appeared after cmd-clicking on the note in NET. But the research tab that shows "Searching %@" is there and if I click on the 'x' on the tab to close it, I get the spinning wheel again. Other research tabs are static when I reopen Accordance, but this particular window always shows the moving 'gear' icon in the window, like it's working. proslambano
clicking "stop" on the search for "%@" has no effect either. I tried opening a new workspace and closing the current one, and that gave me a spinning wheel too. Fortunately, as long as I don't bother that research tab, I can work in Accordance (though the fan on my mac eventually starts revving up), so I'll try resetting the startup workspace -- looks like I'm going to have to abandon this workspace altogether, just to avoid that particular research tab. Lorinda H. M. Hoover
Brian, Are you using Accordance 10 or 11? Your signature says 10 (thank you for putting that info in the signature!), but you mention a Research tab, which is a term not used until 11. In Accordance 11, I can't reproduce this. Command click opens a NET Notes tab showing the note in question for me. If you still have the startup workspace that's causing you problems, you might want to hold onto it (though not as your startup) for a bit, as the Accordance folks might want to take a look at it. In terms of getting a popover, using option-click brings up the popover. command-option-click brings up a dictionary article in the popover (just as command-hover works when having the Instant Details pane or floating palette up). proslambano
Lorinda, Thanks for the response! To clarify, I am using version 11 and have updated my profile to indicate that. The research tab must have been there before, from a previous run of Accordance, and it automatically started with Accordance. I trashed the workspace, and now I can't reproduce this either, but somehow I ended up with a research tab that was searching for "%@", and I don't believe I manually entered that.
