davidmedina
This started happening after the last Accordance 11 desktop update. Whenever I open Accordance preference and try to select User Notes preference Accordance crashes. It has done it 4 times in a row. I am running the latest iMac 27 inches running the latest Yosemite OS.
Mutien Chen
I am not sure this will help or not. I encountered similar problem. For me, after I ran through the "Setup Assistant" in the "Help" from the menu bar, It solved the problem temporarily.
davidmedina
I can click on any of the preference and works but as soon as I try to click on the User Notes preferences Accordance crashes.
Helen Brown
This bug was supposedly fixed in the latest version. If you have updated, I would remove all the User Notes from the Library, and then add them back one at a time, and see if the Preferences still crash. davidmedina
Helen, I moved all my user notes out of the Accordance files folder. Restarted Accordance and now the User Notes preference are no longer available under the Preferences. So, I created a new User Nots and now the USer Notes preferences shows up under preference but still causes Accordance to crash. Helen Brown
Sorry for the hassles. I meant to remove them from the Library panel, not the files from Accordance Files. I would try removing the User Notes preferences from your user/Preferences/Accordance Preferences folder. Then add back your Notes files one by one, simply by opening them. davidmedina
Helen, still crashes after doing what you suggest.
Helen Brown
Then please share your screen with tech support so they can find a solution.
davidmedina
Thanks Helen. How do I do that?
Helen Brown
We mainly use Skype or TeamViewer, but you can first email support and ask them to contact you. On Skype they are oaktreesupport.
Bret Hicks
Has there ever been a resolution to this problem? I tried doing the things Helen mentioned above, but Accordance still crashes if I try to go into the preferences for user notes. Helen Brown
Can you remove the User Notes preferences file from your user/Library/Preferences/Accordance Preferences folder? Then add the Notes back one by one and check the Preferences in Accordance each time.
Bret Hicks
Helen, When I delete the user notes file as you indicate and open Accordance, there is no "user notes" in the Accordance preferences dialog. As soon as I add a note - any note, including the sample note that comes with Accordance - and try to go to the 'user notes" tab within the preferences dialog, Accordance crashes. Helen Brown
I am suggesting that you remove the User Notes settings file in the Finder. It is in user/Library/Preferences/Accordance Preferences, and to see the user/Library you can press option as you open the Go menu. Removing all User Notes may empty that file but it won't delete it. If the remainder is corrupt it may be causing the crash. Delete it and Accordance will create a new file when you add back a set of Notes. Please call tech support if this does not help you. Bret Hicks
That is what I did. I would then open the notes files - including the sample note files from finder as well. And Accordance would crash if I tried to go to the user notes tab in the preferences dialog. I will try to call tech support.
