jcavins
I'm moving all my files to another mac and do not want to use the migrate assistant. Is it possible to simply copy my entire Accordance folder to an external drive, then drag those files over to the new computer? I would assume that I would have to include the preference file. Has anyone done this? Thanks Jeff
Helen Brown
I recommend the following steps: Copy the Accordance Preferences folder from your user/Library/Preferences to your Accordance folder and replace the copy that is there (which has your modules but not all of your settings). Copy the entire Accordance folder to the new Mac. Run the installer for Accordance 7.1 to install the fonts and help in the system. Run Accordance. Make a copy of your Accordance folder, with its modules. Don't neglect the Accordance Files folder in your Home/Documents folder. And most important is your Home/Library/Preferences/Accordance Preferences folder. Incidentally, in most cases, I recommend a clean install as you are doing, and not using the migration assistant. Just completely backup your current system to an external HD and you have files when you discover you need them.
