on page 508 of BDAG, 1-a-α: FOR καρδια, there exists an unintelligible string of words

I already sent my suspician to the Accordance Corrections Dept.  I don't have the latest BDAG in print,

thus I ask if anyone cares to tell me if my suspicion is correct on this:

 

on page 508 of BDAG, 1-a-α:  for headword καρδια, there exists an unintelligible string of words -- which leads me to suppose that there is some typo there.

"Opp. πρόσωπον and καρδία externals and inner attitude of heart "

Context:

α. in an all-inclusive sense: said of God’s or Christ’s awareness about the inner life of humans γινώσκειν τὰς καρδίας (cp. 1 Km 16:7; 1 Ch 28:9; s. also Did., Gen. 170, 24) Lk 16:15; δοκιμάζειν 1 Th 2:4; ἐρευνᾶν Ro 8:27; Rv 2:23 (νεφροὺς κ. καρδίας as Ps 7:10; Jer 17:10; 20:12); κριτικὸς ἐνθυμήσεων καὶ ἐννοιῶν καρδίας Hb 4:12; τὰ κρυπτὰ τῆς κ. 1 Cor 14:25 (cp. Obviously kardia would not be opposite to prosopon and kardia.  It could be alleged that kardia was opposite to prosopon, where prosopon means externals while kardia refers to inner attitude.

I sold my print copy of BDAG after I got it in Accordance because it began to collect dust, but comparing the Accordance text with a different digital version, they both read the same. Perhaps someone with a print version can verify.

Is it not saying that προσωπον (outward) and καρδια (inward) are opposites, as in 1K 16:7 & 2Cor 5:12?  The listing also sites 2Thess 2:17 where προσωπον is referring to the outside of a person and καρδια to the invisible. 

 

EDIT:  Michael notes below that this is not a typo or an error, but it certainly could have been phrased more clearly.
