Theodotion's Daniel in Swete's Septuagint?

I'm doing some research into aspects of the Book of Daniel and I was wondering if anybody knew offhand whether or not the Greek text of Swete's LXX was the Theodotion version or not.  If it is not, what might it be?  If it is not, then I may be interested in obtaining the Swete LXX that is offered as an Accordance module.

Thank you,

Michael

Hi Michael, it contains both the regular LXX and Theodotion - just like Rahlfs' version.

With kind regards

Hello Peter,

Thank you very much for that information.  I'm very appreciative of your help.  The Greek text of Daniel taken from the older Hebrew prior to when Theodotion translated the MT into Greek is what I'm looking for.  I'll check both Rahlf's and Swete's.

Thanks again,

Michael

*edit - I realized after I wrote this that indicating that Theodotion utilized the MT as we know it today would be an incorrect statement.  My understanding is that Theodotion used newer Hebrew manuscripts than those that were originally used in the original text of Daniel in the Septuagint.

Here is a link to an interesting book on the subject:  http://ufdc.ufl.edu/UF00001421/00001/1x

I take the opportunity of this thread on Greek Daniel to ask if you are planning to have the volume of Göttingen on Daniel (2nd ed. Ziegler-Munnich).

We are planning to offer all the published Göttingen volumes, but the preparation of accurate etexts, and the conversion to Accordance modules has proved to be a massively complicated task which takes far longer than we anticipated.

This seems to be becoming quite a common occurrence, similar comment have been made in other threads on this forum. Many users have offered to assist you in producing modules, to no avail. Is this something that you might reconsider?
