We Need Your Opinion regarding our Training Seminar Videos!

Here's the nutshell: we've posted about three hour's worth of a filmed training seminar from 2013. Should we post the rest? It's a bit of work combining the external video with the screen capture video, but we're willing to proceed forward if you, our users, find these videos worthwhile. The downside to the videos? They demonstrate Accordance v. 10, meaning they don't cover new v. 11 features like Quick Entry, Info Pane, new Library categories and more. Nevertheless, most of what is in the videos is certainly still applicable since we tend to build new features on the foundation of older ones.

What do you think? Let us know either here in the forums or in the Comments section of the blog post linked above.

Thanks!

Yes please,

I have used these in the past and have learnt a great deal from them.   They allow me to go at my own pace, and to go over some of the content again and again.  They also allow me to do this in my own time, sometimes I am time poor and this is important for me.

I have gained the most out of the original language videos.

Thanks Rick for posting

Just my opinion but I would recommend waiting until Accordance 11 Seminar could be filmed. There are enough features to warrant the wait. In the meanwhile there are the webinars, outstanding online help, the Lighting the Lamp podcasts.

While offering opinions, the "Mobile Minute" is a great way to highlight features and perhaps a collection of short demonstrations is the better approach. Using that model it would not be necessary to replace a whole set of videos, only those where the features have been updated. They could be organized in the same order as the Training Manual.

I know that economical considerations must come into the decision making process but I hope that the live Training Seminars stay around a long time. I would attend another if close enough to attend. There is great value in the sharing process that exists at them. You get to meet people from all sorts of backgrounds and share how they are using Accordance.

I'd be happy to view it. Was on a training seminar in Sweden (Gothenburg) in April 2013 and I would brush up on my knowledge watching a recorded video. As I buy much faster than take the time to learn the software I'm honestly speaking not going to learn each new version, every other version is enough, and as the version 11 was a great improvement while I'm still on version 10 I have less possibilities to "cheat" when it comes to languages - which may prove a good choice for the time being at least at this very moment when I just start to learn Hebrew.

How long is the rest and what would it cover?

Also, is something like this for v11 coming? If it is coming soon (within the next few months), then I'd say it's not worth it. If on the other hand we would have to wait for it more than a half year, then I'd say please post the rest now.

I seem to always need refreshers. There are quite a few topics that I only use rarely. So, it would be great if you could keep the Accordance 10 seminar available until there is a complete update with Accordance 11
