syardney
I'm trying to figure out how to search for all instances of final mem. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks for your help! Sarah

syardney
I tried searching for ם*, but that turned up forms with suffixes, such as שׁמו, as well as inflected forms without final mem whose lexical form had a final mem, such as שׁתי. Other thoughts? Sarah
Peter Brylov Christensen
.ם seems to do the trick..
syardney
That seems to have given me all instances of mem, including all initial and medial mems.
Peter Brylov Christensen
Oh, it counts them as hits, too? Hmm.. I figured that .ם would search for (and only count) this exact character in every word, which of course would include other mems if there are any. David Lang
Entering *M by itself will search for all lexical forms ending with mem. You want to enclose your search in quotation marks to find all inflected forms ending in a final mem, like this: "*M"
syardney
Pchris, aha—I tried your suggestion again, this time using the Hebrew keyboard to type in the final mem rather than just typing "m" and letting Accordance set the form for me automatically, and it worked! Thanks for your help! Sarah Edited August 11, 2015 by syardney
