Missing characters when saving notes

I'm using iOS 2.2 on an iPhone 5 and have noticed that after the last update when I add a note to an existing file (eg My Mobile Notes) that now the last two characters of the note are not saved. I've tried this a few times, and with different notes files, and it does the same thing each time. This was not a problem before. The note file format is the older format (not .amynotes). Does anyone else have this problem - and how might I fix it? Thanks
