mortenjensen
Hi all, How do I (easily) search for ἕν not ἐν in tagged texts? = does not work (since only non-tagged texts include diacritical signs, cf. http://lib.haifa.ac.il/departments/yaaz/hadracha/menus/doc/accordancew/Accordance%20Help/content/topics/06_braa/searches_using_symbols.htm). I found a way doing it through a somewhat tedious string: εἷς @ [adjective neuter singular accusative] <OR> [adjective neuter singular nominative] Is there an easier way? mortenjensen
Thanks Mark, For some reason, it only works partly: - Your suggestion produces 6 hits: John 1,3; 10,30; 11,52; 17,22–23; 21,25 - This string produces 12 hits: John 1,3; 3,27; 6,22; 7,21; 9,25; 10,30; 11,52; 17,11.21–23; 21,25 - εἷς @ [adjective neuter singular accusative] <OR> εἷς @ [adjective neuter singular nominative] <AND> [RANGE john] For some reason, your suggestion skips relevant hits. How can this be? Morten
Mark Allison
Morten, Sorry; you're right. We need to find instances where both acute and grave accents are found: ("=ἕν", "=ἓν") [RANGE john] BTW, you no longer have to use the <AND> command in conjunction with the [ Range] command.
