Tom
Is there any way to maintain the unlinking pane from session to session on an iPad? It seems after I launch the app after awhile (not immediately, say the next day) it looses this setting. This makes it hard to find my place again in a resource that has a lot of commentary on a verse. Upon a launch, I find myself back at the top of section on the right side (commentary) linked with the verse in the left pane, forcing me to unlink again and manually scroll until I find my place where I left off. If not, are there any suggestions to accomplish this? Tom
R. Mansfield
If it's easier to manually keep a commentary aligned with a text in your personal workflow, it might be better to launch the commentary in a separate zone (I regularly do this because I want access to the table of contents). Then the commentary will always open where you last left off. You can always tie the tabs together if you need them to scroll in sync with each other at any point in your study. There's a good bit of Accordance jargon above, so if any of it's not clear, let me know.
Helen Brown
This post is for iOS so the separate zone does not apply.
Tom
As Helen said, this is for iOS. But I was disappointed that she didn't address the question. :-( Tom
Chris Rockwell
Hey Tom, I can see how that could be inconvenient. I am currently looking into that right now to come up with a solution to hopefully put in our next release. Thanks, Chris
Tom
Thanks Chris! Using a commentary like WBC which contain extensive comments for every verse, plus the small screen size of an iPad (mini) that is in double pane mode, plus the fact that Accordance iOS doesn't scroll particularly smoothly, results in a lot of effort scrolling and trying to remember where I was at last reading. I guess there is no way to bookmark a paragraph or a place? (I see this option when I highlight a word, but I have never figured out how it works in Accordance iOS) Tom
R. Mansfield
This post is for iOS so the separate zone does not apply. Whoops--sorry about that. I answered that question on my iPhone, but I should have paid more attention to the particular subforum in which it was being asked!
