Rick Ross
When in a King James w/Strongs, I want to get the definition of "Spirit" so I highlight the word with the mouse, press the shift key, and then click 3 times as I should. The Dictionary I have selected in Preferences does not bring up the complete word, only partial. I tried this several times with a number of words with the same result. I have the latest update and we noticed this in the Basic's Webinar today as well. If it has been reported already, please accept my apology. R. Mansfield
Rick, why are you holding the shift key? Are you wanting to bypass the Strong's dictionary?
Rick Ross
Looks like I figured it out. It appears I first have to click the word, make sure the "|" is in front of the first letter of that word, then, slowly click 3 times. I tried it several times that way and it worked every time. Ken Simpson
Rick, as other Rick implies, don’t use shift, and it will go to the Strong’s entry. If you use shift, it will go to the first English tool that has the word as an entry (for most of us that is Eerdmans Dictionary, since that is the usual first installed English tool. The clicking should just be triple clicking anywhere in the word. Is that not what you are finding? Mac or PC?
Rick Ross
Ken, yes I indeed wanted to bring up the Dictionary and noticed that you could not just click anywhere in the word to have it come up in the Dictionary. Triple clicking anywhere in the word does not bring up the word in the dictionary. It displays only part of the word or the first letter of the word. The other triple clicks work fine, just not the shift-triple click, at least not on my Mac.
SWC
It appears to be a bug and searches for just part of the word you have "shift / triple" clicked on. It doesn't look like it is limited to the KJVS.
Helen Brown
I agree, with the shift key down only the part of the word up to the cursor is selected for the amplify. This is a bug.
