jonesiv
I love having access to the Beveridge edition of Calvin's Institutes for the Christian Religion. It is the two-volume Ford Lewis Battles edition (WJK), however, that is really the respected edition. Any chance this is coming to Accordance?
Rick Bennett
We are working with WJK on a new selection of titles, but I am not sure if this is among them. We can look into it.
pbgroover
This is something I would also like to see in Accordance as It's the preferred text at Seminary.

Julia Falling
I think I would rather have the version translated by Robert White, 2014, put out by Banner of Truth. This one might be more easily obtained. Modern English would certainly be more easily understood in my case.
Mark Allison
In case some of you might have missed it, the Battles' edition of Institutes is available now: https://www.accordancebible.com/store/details/?pid=Institutes-Battles Edited July 13, 2017 by Mark Allison
Julia Falling
Mark – I think I'm probably going to have to purchase the dead tree version. That's OK. I'm not an academic, just an ordinary Christian. I need modern English, well-translated from the original. Banner of Truth can be trusted, and the Robert White translation gets good reviews on Amazon.
Julia Falling
I've been reading Calvin's Institutes, Robert White translation from the 1541 edition in French, slowly and devotionally for quite a while. It is beautifully translated. I've got it hardbound and on Kindle (some works are worth owning electronically and as print editions). My frustration, of course, is that, though the electronic version is very well formatted (purchased from Banner of Truth), it will not sync notes and highlights between Kindle/Mac and Kindle/iPad. The other drawback is that I don't own it in Accordance. Is it possible to get this work in Accordance? Does Banner of Truth license to Bible software companies? I'd really love to have this in Accordance. Edited March 29, 2020 by Julia Falling
miguel1981
Just purchased the Robert White edition myself on hardback and it is a great translation.
Julia Falling
Our church keeps a book rack filled with great theological resources, discounted (paperbacks $5, hardbound $10, large references works, heavily discounted). I told a friend about White's translation and how I was reading it just one section at a time, devotionally. He bought it at church and later thanked me for the recommendation. He, too, is really enjoying it. Banner of Truth is a great publisher with the best motives – selling works that will endure because of the theology they contain and because of the quality of their bindings. No junk! Enoch
Battle Edition of Calvin? Does that mean it is edited by an Arminian, a disciple of Jakob Hermandszoon? Edited June 6, 2020 by Enoch
