When I tried using the 25% off coupon on one item, the coupon was accepted  but the discount did not show up in the total and a message came up that the purchase was going to manual processing.  I decided to remove the coupon and cancel the order because I wasn't sure if this was what was supposed to happen.   So is this what one should expect when using this coupon?

Yes, Gordon, I'm pretty sure it will go to manual processing. Don't worry--if there's ever an error in any order, we will always fix it!

Can you use both the coupon codes on one order so that you can get 25% off the highest price in the order AND 20% off the entire order itself?

I was considering using it on Upgrade from NIDNTT to NIDNTTE or is this 25% off coupon not valid for an upgrade product. I just wanted to check if this was a valid choice.

Use MakeASale in the coupon box and Pick1Product in the notes as it won’t get applied automatically in any case. We will take care of it (be sure it goes to Manual processing).

Yes, they will work on the upgrades, just not with other coupons or discounts or very special prices like TJL Academic.

Is it one item 25 % and then another 20% off the whole amount ? So maybe 2 items 10 and 5: 10 (-25% 7,50) + 5 = 12,5 - 20% = 10 ? Or one item 25 - the rest 20 ? It sounds so much - and im not sure getting it right.

It appears from Mansfield's and Brown's comments it would work this way: e.g. Originally $10 then add coupon for 20% (Make a sale) = $8  Then manually add in comment box (Pick1product) for an additional 25% = Grand total $6. (will have to be added manually which it will be flagged)   Please note that this is not the same as 45% off, but slightly different since these would be applied separately. Thus $6 (40% off) and not $5.50 (45% off).

Think that is right and should clarify.

I think it will be easiest to use the coupons separately. Use the 25% off coupon for that one item where you will get the best bang for the buck. Then pile as many other items as you want in a separate order and use the 20% off item for that entire order.

After talking to an online chat rep, she said that we can not combine the two coupons on one order. They have to be used separately.

So billman's scenerio/math above would not be allowed.

Accordance has to at least give a refund on that then.

Yes, in the rush of the holiday sale I was wrong above. Zondervan does not allow us to discount that upgrade from NIDNTT to NIDNTTE.

It was not charged.... these things happen... I had thought it likely wasn't qualified so I asked, and people make mistakes.... My bubble is burst but i understand it was not intentional...

I too was hoping that the discount might be allowed on the upgrade to NIDNTTE and was surprised when it seemed like it might be. Thanks Dan for finding out what the true situation is. At least I can think about using the 25% on something else.

Yes my mistake above. :(  The coupons can not both be used for the same ITEM but can be used for the same order.  However, the one coupon (25%) will only apply to one item and the other coupon (20% off) to the rest of the products.

Thank you, Accordance, for the recent discount for new users and the current "Make Your Own Sale" discounts. I have been working with Bible software since the 1980's on a variety of platforms and gave the Demo a serious evaluation (with the aid of Dr. J's videos) in early December. Working with the Help system and especially the Training components, I was able to make sense of the approach Accordance takes.  In my two previous rounds with the Demo in 2014 and early 2015, I just did not grok the system. Bottom line: Time with the Demo and the training tools and the December discounts enabled me to build a package that nicely does what I have always wanted Bible software to do in a way that I find comfortable. Well done!

I love that you just used "grok." My prediction is that will be 2016's Word of the Year.
