Does it matter where user Bibles are saved?

I just created a new User Bible, and Accordance 11.1.2 automatically (without asking me) put it in [user folder] > Library > Application Support > Accordance > Modules > Texts. However, in that Modules folder I also have a sub-folder named Shared User Bibles. Seems to me that User Bibles should be in there. I really would prefer that stuff I bought from Accordance be in the regular folders such as Texts, etc., and stuff that I or others have made would be in folders with "User" in the title.

(1) May I just move the User Bible where I want it?

(2) Is there a way to make Accordance put it where I want it in the future? (i.e., is there preference to define the location of these User Bibles I may compile in the future, or must I manually move them after compiling?)

Thanks!

Since the (User) Imported Bibles have a °, they are in the same folder like the general Accodance Bibles. Accordance treated them equal.

I believe it is not a good idea to move them to another place. I had this done with the Timeline which are not in the folder for Tools or so and Accordance couldn't find them.

Greetings

Fabian

Joel, what do you say? Is it a bad idea to have a separate folder for User Bibles? (Note that many of the old ones we got on the Exchange do not have the degree symbol, so they are not readily distinguishable when in the same folder with those that ship with Accordance.)

It doesn't matter where they areas long as Accordance finds them. The point is that until the change they were saved by default in the User Bibles folder, and now they are saved by default in Texts.

Thanks for that information, Helen. I'll leave them in Shared User Bibles for now. I would gladly let them all reside in the main one if they all had the degree symbol to separate them from the "regular" Accordance modules. I have my backup system set up so that it does backup the User folders, but not the others. If something happens I can always get the "regular" modules back from Accordance with no problem, but it's not so easy with the User modules.

My experience indicates it does matter where User Bibles are in the folder structure of a Mac. I tried to get my newly-made User Bible to work when it was not in the default location, and it would not work. Even when I found it in finder and clicked on it, Accordance would not recognize it. Come to find out, the others I had in another location (e.g., those downloaded from the Exchange) also were in the default location that Accordance uses, so my own folder was only a backup of them.
