Problem in Version Names after Using Migration Assistant

I just switched to a new Mac and used Migration Assistant to transfer data from the old Mac to the new one.

After the transfer, I notice that my New King James Version is now named King James Version in the drop down list of texts in a search window. The text itself, displayed in a search window, is NKJV, but the tab and the name of the version is "King James Version" instead of "NKJV" which it used to be named.

The King James Version is still named KJV and shows the KJV text in a search window. Somehow what used to be named NKJV is now named King James Version while still displaying NKJV text. In the attached screen shot, the file listed as ^9 used to be titled NKJV. Now it is titled King James Version.post-78-0-54316100-1457129857_thumb.png

Also, I get a message about half the time I start Accordance (see image) saying some file can't be found. Any idea what this means?post-78-0-85959100-1457129869_thumb.png

This is a mistake in the files of the NKJV. We'll correct and update that text ASAP.

If Accordance cannot find a file, you can remove that module from the Library panel and reinstall it. However, the new versions of 11 will automatically do that for you, so that's yet another good reason to upgrade to version 11.

Thanks Helen -- I'm running 11.1.4 just as an FYI re: the problem I mentioned. Given the cryptic nature of that "missing" file's name, I have no idea what it is.

The NKJV is fixed.

That message is about a registration file. It indicates that you need to repair the premissions on the Accordance folder. Here are the rather involved instructions, but tech support can help you if necessary.

Your Accordance folder is in /Application Support/ (in either your Home or your Mac HD Library).

Go/Home/Library/Application Support/Accordance (in Mac OS X 10.7 and up, you have to press your option key to see the hidden Library underneath Home in the Go drop down menu)

or

Go/Computer/Macintosh HD/Library/Application Support/Accordance

Right (or Control) click on the Accordance folder and select "Get Info", unlock the padlock in the bottom right hand corner of the window under sharing and permissions and set your permissions to "Read & Write"  (if your name is not there, click the + button and add yourself).

Click the gear at the bottom and "Apply to Enclosed Items" (if you see 'Make me the owner' in that menu when your name is highlighted and it isn't grayed out, select that as well and apply). Click OK.

Two good fixes, Helen -- both worked. Thanks! (I downloaded the NKJV update.)
