mrderek
Hi there Is Accordance 12 coming out later this year? From my understanding, every two years there seems to be an upgrade. The reason I'm asking is because I'm considering upgrading my package to Advanced, but would rather wait a couple months if Accordance 12 is coming out, so I don't have to pay for a package change, then pay more to upgrade to Accordance 12. R. Mansfield
I can't comment on any specific upcoming version. However, I can say that when Collections are updated to a new version number, sometimes specific items included in them can change. Thus, if you like what you see now in the Advanced Collection, I would recommend going ahead and getting it. Once you have it, the titles will always be yours. But there's no guarantee that all titles in the Accordance 11 Advanced Collection will be in a presumable Accordance 12 Advanced Collection. I think the issue is rather that mrderek doesn't want to pay now for Advanced collection and then pay again later for the upgrade from version 11 to version 12 (those $50 or so), just to have the latest software itself. Alistair
After all the money invested in marketing "This one goes to 11" I wouldn't expect version 12 any time soon. Apple is still pushing OS X (ten), remember.
Daniel Francis
And there is no reason he needs to upgrade to 12.... I know of people content with earlier versions of Accordance. I am sure Accordance could be like some others offering a free upgrade, but lacking almost all new features unless one pays for an update. Others I know have upgrades but occasionally put their upgrades on sale, and offer them for unto 40% off. I can think of one other company owned by publisher that has free upgrades but in the end has very little functionality compared to almost any other Bible software. -Dan

Yes, I understand this--we all like to save money! I was merely trying to make the point that if mrderek is hoping to get specific titles that are part of the current Accordance 11 Advanced Collection (as opposed to purchasing them individually), it would be better to get Advanced now than wait for a presumable Accordance 12 Advanced Collection that may or may not contain those titles. Outside of the public domain titles available with all collections, the inclusion of any licensed titles is always subject to change based on either continued or renewed agreements between OakTree Software the publishers.
