farcas
Question. Perhaps I'm missing it in the help files, but does HITS inflected forms bring over the exact form, i.e. pointing in Hebrew? I think it does, but I wondering if there is option to switch between exact inflected forms ("xxx=") and just consonants ("xxx")...? For example, an exact inflect form search brings these two: Esth 3:6 יִּ֣בֶז Gen 25:34 יִּ֥בֶז Also, is there a way to find inflected forms by word rather than word segments with the HITS command? Again the example of Esth and Gen above serves well. Esth 3:6 וַיִּ֣בֶז Gen 25:34 וַיִּ֥בֶז Lastly, anyway to automatically search for an exact inflected form? Right now it defaults to non exact - just consonants. Thanks! Edited April 15, 2016 by farcas
Helen Brown
I am pretty sure that the answer to each question is "No." The exact inflected form is not used in Hits searches, and there is no way to do it, nor to search for the word with the prefixes, nor to search automatically for exact inflected forms. the latter proved too limiting when we tried it, but you can add the equal sign.
