Amplifying from Tool to New Workspace

Is there a way to amplify to a new workspace window from a tool?

 

When trying to amplify from a tool to another text or saved workspace I get the error message 'A verse reference selection cannot be used from any tool.'

 

Of course clicking on the reference will amplify to an open text within the present window.  However, with the limited space in my workspace this clutters things up.

What are you trying to amplify from and to?

 

I don't think you can specify that you want to amplify to a new workspace.

 

Be sure that your Preferences: Amplify: Confine amplify to same workspace is NOT checked.

An example would be TSK references to any text.  

 

I did have the 'Cofin..." box unchecked.

Tools don't amplify from a verse reference, but you can open a text tab by clicking the reference, detach it from that workspace and keep it open and recyclable. Then future clicks will reuse that tab in the second workspace. You can save the session once it is set up to your liking, and reuse it later.
